一 申请方向介绍美国大学的机械工程(Mechanical Engineering，以下简称ME)专业大多作为一个系，而不是一个学院存在。里面的专业方向依导师个人研究领域而定，一般系里面的主页上都会有各个老师详细的介绍(Faculty/People一栏)。按照特点可以大致分为设计和制造(Design and manufacture，包括CAD)、机器人和控制(Robot and control)、

总有人问，XXX大学的综合排名怎样？其实并不存在一个已排好的美国学习综合排名。因为不同学校之间实在是太难比了。而常见的那个是本科排名，对我们申请graduate program没什么用处。向大家推荐由62所美加学校组成的Association of American Universities(AAU)。

力学系分为一般力学，固体力学和流体力学三个方向，但本科生是没有固定方向的，三个方向的基础课程我们都要学。不过到大三下各个专业的基础课程我们就基本学完了，这时候有意申请出国的同学就可以开始考虑自己的兴趣所在了。

我的基本条件：考了3次G3次T，都还挺烂的（G我就不提了，sign~，大二就去考了，浪费时间无数，专业课耽误无数，最后G的结果还狂烂，心痛。T也才613，除了GaTech刚刚够用），连SUB也没有考满分（980，太粗心了，sign~）。所有知道的人都快笑掉大牙了。我的英语的确是属于弱智的水平。

我的GT都不高，IBT95，有的大牛校要求100我算是个硬伤，还有的学校要求口语20或22以上，我19也不能申请了。GRE 也没达到一般学校fellowship的最低线1300，verbal460算是挺低的了，不过还好数学800，作文也不差。
